TERRESTRIAL ORCHIDS by NARESH SWAMI
ISBN 978-93-5258-377-5
Calanthe griffithii Lindl. – a species described by Sir J.D.Hooker in 1890 as a native of “Bhotan Himalaya”. King and Pantling were not able to locate the species during their monumental work in the region of Sikkim-Himalayas. However, this author was able to locate the species from the region during his study. Interestingly, the photographic presentations here are the only currently available documentary evidence of the species. The book, TERRESTRIAL ORCHIDS, presents the detailed photographic evidence of the species in bloom, with its characteristics and habitat explained in detail.
